Some one pleeeeeese help.

I have a linksys Ap connected to my desktop through ethernet cable and DSL modem to the router, connects to internet fine. I have a Dell laptop with Linksys wireless card, connects to internet through the router just fine. Both OS are XP and static addresses.

The issue is another Dell laptop with a D-Link wireless card, static address, OS W2K, that will not connect to internet.

It receives 100% strength signal, but when attempting to connect to the internet it disconnects within one second. I have used DHCP also with the same results.

my friend,

what i suggest you to change the channel in the router to 11 or 1.... & then in the wireless card as well..
some more options are reliable:
1. assign a wep secuity in your router as well as your card... & assign wep key to 64bit...
2. still the problem persists try to download the latest drivers for your card....
