ok, so i have a belkin wireless router, the only problem is i don't have a phoneline in a convienient place. i already have an ethernet cable which i plug in to my phoneline and then plug in to the electrical socket, i then have another electrical plug socket in my room with an ethernet cable running from the electrical socket in my room into my computer upstairs.
what i am interested in knowing is that, am i able to connect the ethernet cable thats coming out of my electrical socket in my room to my wireless router to make it a wireless access point.
any suggestions would be helpful!

thanks

Should'nt be a problem. Dig out the quick instalation guide and CD that came with the D-Link and follow the instructions.
You'll probably need to directly connect it to your PC first in order to set up the wireless side of things.
You may even get a strong enough signal upstairs by attatching it at source, rather than on the end of your ethernet cable?
Let's know if you get stuck.
