Factors to consider are distance and file transfers. If it's a small apartment, a G wireless router should do fine. If going through a couple of walls and a greater distance the new N or preN (MIMO) routers are terrific.
Linksys does a great job. For simple G wireless connectivity, a Linksys WRT54G is good, if you transfer files or stream video/music, then the WRT54GS would be better.
But, the best is the Linksys MIMO router.
All 3 of you can connect to the router, either by Cat 5 cable or wireless. You could place one computer beside the router and connect by Cat 5 cable, while the other computers could connect wirelessly if they have either built in wireless card or an external plug in wireless adapter. If buying adapters buy the same make (Linksys) as the router, should you need to call tech support. That way, they can't blame the problem on the other manufacturer's hardware.
Then run the windows wireless network wizard on each machine. I assume you're running XP (you didn't give any information at all about your setup)
