New German Approval Set To Stimulate Demand For Telsis Switch
-/July 5, 2004 - Wi-Fi Technology News/-The highly versatile Ocean fastSSP intelligent networking platform from Telsis has earned yet another interoperability approval in Germany. Having passed the ITU-T Q.788 requirement at T-Com?s accredited test-laboratory in Nuremberg, it is set to stimulate further demand from both new start-up operators and from established providers wanting to broaden their service portfolios.
"This latest approval further strengthens the fastSSP's position in Europe as first choice for a growing number of independent operators and for incumbent networks too," says Telsis managing director Jeff Wilson. "For independents it offers a fast track to revenues with rapid service roll-out and lower cost of ownership, while incumbents can benefit from the market differentiation of innovative new services and a broad compatibility with their existing systems."
The approval follows a week of exacting trials by T-Com, a division of Deutsche Telekom, which tested the very latest version of the switch together with its companion service control point, the Ocean fastSCP. Earlier approvals have seen the fastSSP adopted by German operators EWE TEL, HanseNet and IN-telegence, all choosing the Telsis solution for its flexibility, its easy programmability and its ability to handle massive volumes of calls at minimal cost.
Together, the fastSSP and fastSCP are a formidable pairing of high volume, carrier grade intelligent switching with programmable, high capacity routing, transaction and interactive service creation capabilities. The Telsis platforms are at the heart of many revenue generating and network enhancing voice services run by mobile and fixed operators around the world.
With its headquarters, research and production site in the UK, Telsis (http://www.telsis.com) has sales and support operations in France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Singapore and Australia. The company offers a range of carrier-grade infrastructure platforms including intelligent SMS Routers, IN service control points, switches and advanced IVR solutions that support a wide variety of innovative value-added text and voice services. Telsis products are in use with major fixed and mobile network operators around the world.
