Click Commerce Achieves Status as a GDSN Source and Recipient Data Pool

"Data Pool" Designation Strengthens Retail Supply Chain Position in Data Synchronization and RFID for Click Commerce Subsidiary, bTrade

CHICAGO, Illinois -/August 10, 2004 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Click Commerce (Nasdaq: CKCM) announced that bTrade, it's wholly-owned subsidiary, is one of the first companies accepted as both a source and a recipient data pool in the retail industry's Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN). As one of the pioneering GDSN data pools, bTrade and Click Commerce customers receive a comprehensive supply chain offering that satisfies today's data synchronization requirements, as well as emerging retail technology initiatives including radio frequency identification (RFID).

Created by the European Article Numbering association, the Uniform Code Council (EAN.UCC) and industry leaders worldwide, the GDSN is a network of interoperable data pools that connect to a Global Registry. With the GDSN, trading partners can efficiently exchange accurate and up-to-date supply chain data that is compliant with universally supported EAN.UCC System standards. The bTrade Data Pool underwent extensive beta testing and received designation as both a source data pool for the supplier community and a recipient data pool for retailers.

"bTrade personnel played a significant role in developing the GDSN framework prior to our acquisition. We have maintained our leadership position by becoming one of the first companies to achieve designation as a data pool," said Michael Ferro, Chairman and CEO of Click Commerce. "By achieving the GDSN data pool designation for both retailers and suppliers, Click Commerce provides an unmatched value proposition to the entire retail community, as well as making a strategic step towards enabling RFID implementation."

The Click Commerce Source Data Pool offers manufacturers and suppliers a cost-effective hosted service or behind-the-firewall application. It easily integrates with internal systems and can synchronize all product information including pricing and promotional data. The Click Commerce Source Data Pool and the Click Commerce Recipient Data Pool provides retailers and suppliers one point of connection to their trading partners and is interoperable with all other data pools, including UCCnet.

Click Commerce is UCC full-solutions certified and is a member of EPCglobal US, the standards body that manages RFID. Click Commerce is also a preferred data synchronization solution provider for The Home Depot and the exclusive preferred data synchronization solutions provider for the SUPERVALU grocery company.
