WAYPORT BRINGS WI-FI WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS TO 6,500 OAKWOOD APARTMENTS
AUSTIN, Texas -/20 September, 2004 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Wayport, one of the world's largest providers of Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) wireless and wired high-speed Internet access in more than 3,800 locations including hotels, airports, McDonald's and other retail brands nationwide, announced it will provide Wi-Fi service for 14 properties in the Oakwood Worldwide portfolio.
Oakwood is the largest global provider of corporate housing and an innovative leader in apartment management with locations throughout the U.S., Asia, U.K. and select European cities.
Oakwood chose Wayport to provide high-speed Internet access for its reliability, flexibility and 24/7 customer service and network monitoring. Both Oakwood long-term and extended stay corporate housing residents will be able to connect to Wayport's Wi-Fi wireless service in their apartments and common areas, such as lobbies.
Oakwood has a five-year agreement with Wayport and there is potential to add additional properties in the coming months. The current properties which will have Wayport's services installed include:

Oakwood guests will be able to connect to Wayport's Wi-Fi wireless service using their own Wi-Fi-enabled notebook computer or handheld device and they can choose to purchase connectivity for a day or a month at a time. Wayport will charge guests $9.00 per day for unlimited use of the network or $30 per month for unlimited use with no further obligation. In addition, corporate customers will receive Wayport's service for free as part of the corporate customer's guest services package. The charges will be billed directly to the credit card of the guests' choice for their convenience.
