The WaveTest Traffic Generator/Performance Analyzer provides unprecedented insight into the performance of the IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN devices with high-precision accuracy achieved through the use of a custom MAC. WaveTest is also the only Wireless LAN test equipment that is completely environmentally agnostic, supporting tests in an isolated environment, using RF chambers, in cabled environments, as well as real-world open-air tests. The VoIP Analysis Test Suite, used by Aruba, measures key values for VoIP traffic over WLAN, such as R-value (an ITU standard for voice quality measurement), delay, and jitter. In addition, the WaveTest system generates background test traffic, including error injection to simulate real-world traffic conditions. With its support of test automation, the WaveTest system ensures repeatable results and substantially reduces testing time.
Aruba also uses VeriWave?s conformance tests designed specifically to test the adherence of access points to the stringent protocol requirements of the 802.11 standard.
