Aeon Digital Unveils All-In-One Wi-Fi PVR DVR TV
Aeon Digital International Announces a Breakthrough in IPTV & PVR Functionality
LOS ANGELES, CA -/October 11, 2005 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- Aeon Digital International (ADI) unveils its new IPTV Diva(R) Enabled 32", 37"& 42" LCD TVs with built-in Digital Video Recorder (DVR) technology, at the Hong Kong Electronic Show being held October 13th to the 16th, 2005.
More than simply a leading edge LCD TV, ADI will be showcasing the world's first LCD TV with all of these Diva(R) Enabled features:
-- Built-in wireless router and wireless access point
-- 200 hour Personal Video Recorder
-- Stream or download movies and music directly from the online Aeon Network
-- Built-in Electronic Programming guide (EPG)
-- Access media files stored on PC (movies, music, pictures)
-- Record one show while watching another
The EPG is included free of charge to consumers who purchase the Aeon IPTV Diva(R) enabled LCD TV, allowing such consumers to avoid paying fees, like those charged by TiVo, while still providing the same features and advantages. The EPG is easy to use and menu driven, allowing consumers to record all their favourite programs and sports events.
ADI brings state-of-the-art wireless and IPTV technology to LCD TVs, and then goes further by also supplying the content with its Aeon Network to take full advantage of broadband and IPTV capabilities. No PC is required to take advantage of these features. The Aeon Network features thousands of movies and 1.5 million songs available to choose from, ready for streaming and downloading. These can now be enjoyed on an LCD while listening through your living room speakers, taking advantage of the 802.11b/g Wi-Fi router now built-in to the television.
The Diva(R) enabled LCD TV will be on the market starting January 2006. This advanced technology will be available to all LCD manufacturers on an OEM basis. ADI expects that the integration of this cutting edge technology in LCD manufacturing will not increase the retail price to consumers. Expected lowered manufacturing costs in the coming months should offset the cost of integrating these value added features.
