Special Offer Makes It Easy for Dell Customers To Try the T-Mobile? HotSpot Service

Round Rock, Texas, June 26, 2003

DellTM and T-Mobile USA, Inc. today announced an agreement that will make it easy for Dell's notebook computer customers to get high-speed Wi-Fi (802.11b) Internet access through the T-Mobile HotSpot service.

Dell customers can now get 2,000 free minutes of the T-Mobile HotSpot service within the first 30 days after activation, when they sign-up for a new qualifying T-Mobile HotSpot service plan1.

With more than 2,600 convenient public locations, T-Mobile HotSpot is the nation's largest commercial Wi-Fi network including numerous airports and airline clubs, Borders Books and Music stores, Starbucks coffeehouses and soon at more than 1,000 Kinko's locations. These convenient locations allow Dell customers with a wireless-enabled notebook or PDA who subscribe to T-Mobile HotSpot to check e-mail, surf the Web, watch streaming video or download multimedia presentations in places where they already go as part of their daily routine.

T-Mobile was the first U.S. wireless carrier to fully embrace Wi-Fi as a complement to its existing all digital national wireless voice and 2.5 G high-speed data network. By offering the benefits of two wireless networks, T-Mobile breaks down the barriers to adoption, making it easy to get a complete wireless voice and data solution at affordable flat rates and on a single bill.

"As one of the leading suppliers of Wi-Fi-enabled notebooks to businesses worldwide, Dell is offering the T-Mobile HotSpot service to a large group of influential business customers, thus further extolling the benefits of Wi-Fi," said Joe Sims, vice president and general manager of T-Mobile HotSpot. "Dell's promotion of T-Mobile HotSpot clearly demonstrates how quickly Wi-Fi is becoming a technology mainstay for wireless broadband connectivity in places where people already go."

Anthony Bonadero, director of Dell's wireless product group, said he's been impressed by the scope, speed and reliability of T-Mobile's wireless Internet service. "Their service provides our customers convenient and extensive high-speed wireless access that can help them be connected and productive in more locations," he said.

Dell customers can sign-up for a T-Mobile Wi-Fi service plan at http://www.t-mobile.com/hotspot/dell. To log in to the service and establish a connection, customers with a Wi-Fi-enabled notebook or handheld computers simply need to launch their Internet browser within a T-Mobile HotSpot location and log in.
