EnGenius Launches EnGenius NOC-3220 Outdoor Access Point / Client Bridges
London, UK-/March 27, 2007 - Wi-Fi Technology News/- EnGenius Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Senao International, and manufacturer of high performance wireless networking solutions, have announced the launch of a range of high power, outdoor access point/client bridges - the EnGenius NOC-3220.
Designed to provide seamless outdoor wireless data communications, the EnGenius NOC-3220 is an ideal addition for business users seeking to extend network connectivity between buildings or to provide client access in outdoor or large indoor, open plan areas such as courtyards or warehouses.
Offering high output power and excellent signal sensitivity for greater range, the EnGenius NOC-3320 supports Wi-Fi 802.11b (2.4GHz, 11Mbps) and the faster Wi-Fi 802.11g (2.4GHz, 54Mbps) wireless standards.
Three models are available offering a range of antenna options including built-in 9 or 16dB directional panel antenna or external connection so that the user can easily add their own, alternative, antenna. All three versions have a fully weather-proof housing, offering protection from dust, water and the elements making them ideal for outdoor environments. Mounting hardware provided enables users to attach it to the outside of buildings with ease.
Integrated 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) means the units can easily be located in remote outdoor locations with data connectivity and power using a single LAN cable without the need for remote power outlets.
The EnGenius NOC-3220 provides maximum security by supporting WEP, WPA, and IEEE Wi-Fi 802.1x authenticator support, ensuring complete network protection at all times.
