MSG300 Secure Wireless Office Controller, a wireless authentication and VPN appliance, addressing wireless security requirements of SMB offices with up to 500 concurrent users.
Taipei, Taiwan -/Wi-Fi Technology News/- 4ipnet, Inc., a provider of wireless network security and management products, has introduced its MSG300 Secure Wireless Office Controller, a wireless authentication and VPN appliance, addressing the wireless security requirements of small-to-medium-sized businesses with up to 500 concurrent users.
With advanced centralized AP management functions, MSG300 is capable of managing up to 12 managed access points centrally to cover different scales of WLAN deployments.
MSG300 is designed to be the focal point of SMB office network, providing a wiser choice to set up a wired and wireless network that is secure, access controlled, and optimized for voice and data services. It not only can be an authentication server itself, but simultaneously supports multiple external authentication servers. For NT Domain, MSG300 provides a single sign-on option to seamless integrate user authentication for wireless access with Windows Server. By supporting RADIUS, MSG300 enables user account roaming across multiple branch offices. In addition, MSG300's future proof platform can be easily integrated with existing business network infrastructure, while providing the scalability to meet evolving corporate needs.
The comprehensive features of MSG300 include Multiple User Authentication Methods, Group-based Access Control, Instant Account Provisioning for Visitors, Standards-based Wireless Encryption, Centralized AP Management, Local/ Client-to-Site/ Site-to-Site VPN, Network Segmentation by Multiple Service Zones, Individual User Bandwidth Management, QoS Support and VoIP Call Control, and High Internet Reliability with Dual WAN Failover and Load Balancing.
MSG300 comes with the capability of providing multiple virtual networks, called Service Zones, each with its own definable access control profiles. This function partitions a single physical network into up to 5 secure, virtual networks with VLAN technology. To easily classify users, different network usage levels and user privileges can be defined for different user Groups on MSG300. The Group-based access control restricts who can get onto which Service Zone and what they can do once connected. Having this capability will allow different users in one office environment to enjoy different levels of network services.
