Toshiba Offers Free Wi-Fi Service for Intel's "One Unwired Day"

SurfHere? by Toshiba Wi-Fi? Internet Service Offered Free on September 25 at Select Locations, Toshiba Notebook Computers with Centrino Mobile Technology Featured at One Unwired Day Events

IRVINE, Calif., September 23, 2003 ? Continuing to drive the wired world to wireless, Toshiba's Computer Systems Group (CSG) will offer free Wi-Fi Internet service on Thursday, Sept. 25, in support of Intel's nationwide "One Unwired Day" event. Free Wi-Fi Internet access will be available at select SurfHere? by Toshiba locations at participating Barnes & Noble bookstore locations (Atlanta), McDonalds (Chicago and Milwaukee metropolitan areas) and The UPS Store locations (Chicago). Toshiba notebook computers, featuring Intel's? CentrinoTM mobile technology, will be featured at all "One Unwired Day" festival events. At the Chicago festival, Toshiba will be a Platinum notebook sponsor as well as a Platinum wireless sponsor.
