ANOTO CEO JOINS BOARD OF DESTINY WIRELESS PLC
UK and Worldwide, January 27, 2004 /Wi-Fi Technology News/- Destiny Wireless plc is delighted to announce the appointment of ?rjan Johansson of the Anoto Group AB as a non-executive director of the company. Mr Johansson is the chief executive of Anoto, who are the inventors of the technology behind Destiny?s digital pen products. Anoto has as part of a business agreement acquired 5% of the equity in Destiny Wireless.
?rjan Johansson CEO, of Anoto Group AB is the dynamic force behind the creation of a broad coalition of partners supporting Anoto's standard for digital paper and digital pens enabling Anoto functionality.
Before joining Anoto, Johansson spearheaded the global development of Bluetooth? - the short-range wireless technology, as Director and General Manager for Bluetooth at Ericsson Mobile Communications AB.
Johansson was responsible for developing the technology and leading other competing companies to adopt the open standard. He initiated and supervised the establishment of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, made up of adopter companies and was responsible for bringing 2000 international technology companies on board.
