AT&T Wins Two, 5-Year Contracts To Help Manage Navy's Construction Assets
VIENNA, Va. -March 5, 2004 /Wi-Fi Technology News/- AT&T Government Solutions has won two, 5-year professional services contracts valued at a total of $13.3 million to help manage the Navy's worldwide construction assets.
Under one contract, the Naval Facilities Expeditionary Logistics Center (NFELC) in Port Hueneme, Calif., has chosen AT&T Government Solutions to implement a program to inventory construction equipment, validate data associated with the equipment and identify maintenance needs.
Under a second contract, AT&T Government Solutions personnel will develop standard preventive maintenance procedures for Navy-owned construction equipment and assist in implementing the Navy's Maintenance Material Management system.
Both contracts apply to equipment overseen by the Naval Construction Force (also known as the SEABEES), which provides the Navy, Marine Corps and other forces with rapid contingency response, quality construction and disaster recovery support and humanitarian assistance.
