Hi all, newbie here!
I'm trying to improve my home wifi setup for
better coverage. I have a DI614+ as router for
an XP Pro machine and and cable modem in my
home office. I also have a DI713P which I've
installed at the back of my house to give
coverage to my children's pc's, which are part of
the network.
The router in the office is DHCP, channel 6,
while the kids' router has DHCP disabled, and is
set to channel 11. When the kids' router is on,
the office machine intemittently loses connection.
Having the kids' router gives them only intermittent
internet access.
I've set up static DHCP on the office router,
but I'm lost. I don't know if what I'm trying
to do is possible, or if someone smarter than I
has already done it. Any word of wisdom?
thanks in advance
Robert

Both these units are routers, why do you need
two routers!? How are they connected together? or
are they both connected to your cable service in
different locations in the house....if so how? As
normally your ISP will only supply one IP
address.
Most situations would have one wireless router
connected to your cable service, then an access
point connected to the router to give additional
coverage, if needed.
Routers can get a bit confused if you plug them
together directly, not advisable!
