Hi,
I've had some weird speed issues with my wireless net.
It's nice and fast for LAN transfers but slows right down when downloading from the internet.
My speeds are as below:
(with adsl2+ synced at 1600kB and wireless G)
Ethernet LAN = full 100mbit speeds
Ethernet internet = 1600kB/s
Wireless LAN = about 3000kB/s
Wireless internet = 250kB/s at best.
So yea, the wireless internet should be getting 1600kB/s just like with the ethernet cable but it's not... Buggered if I can work out why.
My old laptop with an earlier Atheros card worked perfectly, every other wireless device I can get my hands on works perfectly too.
I'm guessing its a bug in the drivers for this newer card. (Atheros AR5006EG)
So far I've tried Unblocka and TCP Optimizer but they both just ended up slowing everything down to around 100kB/s and two formats later...
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks
Hamish
