Right, i dont know if ppl will approve of this but i want to get a USB wireless receiver so i can 'steal' other ppls signal. I realise that if no-one near me has a wireless network, or they have a password this will not work. My question is - can anyone advise me on the best reciever to buy? I want as big a range as possible. Thanks

I'm using Edimax EW-7317Ug: www.shopping.com/xPF-DabsValue_802_11g_54Mbps_USB_Stick_22550793 for last 6 months. It is cheap, reliable and successfully 'steals' other peoples signal. If you want a bigger range you should probably think of something similar to www.edimax.com.tw/html/english/products/EW-7317UHg.htm

thanks, i tried a satelite thing, not the brand you recommended but it was 8dbi or something like that. Anyway it didnt work, i could only pick up a very weak 802.11b signal, not even enough to connect to. Just bad luck i guess that no-one has wireless near me but thanks for the advice
