I'm really inexperienced, so the solution may be obvious.

I am having a lot of trouble getting two laptops connected to my wifi network (linksys router). One laptop is an HP laptop a few years old with a linksys wireless card. The other is a new Sony VAIO laptop with built-in wifi. Every time I connect to the network, it loses the connection after a minute or two. I have no idea what to do about it, and its getting really aggravating.

Ideally, I would also like a secure network. I had someone secure it for me, but it became too much of a headache (the laptops wouldnt even connect, and the network key was a long string of numbers and letters), so I unsecured the network.

If anyone can help me with this, It would be great.

If you need any other questions, let me know.

Thanks.
