I have a Parkervision WR1500 and I am very happy with it. It installed and worked fine from the start.

My problem is with changing the name of the network on the router. The default is Wireless . I would like to change it to home .

Under System > General is System Name: . The default is empty. What is this?

Under Wireless is ESSID . Value = Wireless. Is this the name of the network? If I change this value to home , and delete the Profile00 from the PV Config utility, then have PV Config create a new profile, I cannot connect.

In other words, I can connect easily with the defaults. But when I change the ESSID, I can not connect.

How can I rename my local network?

Thank you

Hi heibeck.

I know it's been a while since you posted but I thought I'd try and contact you to see if you could help.
Just wondered if you still have the Parkervision WR1500 Router.
If so I need to know the output voltage and current from the power adapter in to the router.
I can't remember if it's printed on the adapter, but I can't find out from anywhere at the minute.
It's probably something like 12volts @ 1 or 2 Amps or similar.
I lost / misplaced my adapter and can't remember the voltage / current rating of it.
I have emailed Parkervision but they not replying.
I would really appreciate it if you could help.

Thanks in anticipation,
StuartB
