Hi can anybody recommend a suitable PCMCIA WiFi
card to run in A Compaq Armada 1700 which has
a Texas 1220 cardbus controller (Whatever that is).
It's running Windows 2000

The Proxim Orinoco should work well for you.
You can find two versions here:
1) US Version: wlanmall

Thanks for the info Ronen. Unfortunately I don't
want to spend as much as this initially because
I don't know if my partner, who will be using
it, will be able to get to grips with the
technology. If I buy the model that yo have
recommended in the UK it will cost nearly double
and when I have bought items off the internet
from the US I have always been charged customs
duty - which is often as much as the intitial
cost.
