Subject: unable to recieve updated IP during repair

We have a new wireless card for our laptop and
it is able to be online and open pages without
any problems on unsecured networks. However when
we try to get it to work with a secured
connection it will connect to it, recieve signal,
but then not be able to actually get any
information or open any pages. We try to repair
the connection but that fails because it cannot
retrieve the IP address during the repair, however
it has it already. What the heck is happening?
