i want to reset the forgotten pw of ny access point with rs-232 cable
BUt it not work for me

i create the cable myself from the nullmodem website
i test it but never never work for me
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM
HOW CAN I RESET THE PW OF ACCESS POINT

I have spoken to EnGenius. They said that there is a bug in the firmware making it
impossible connect using rs-232. There advise was to return the unit for replacement.
If you did have success please can you post.

here is the solution:


download this:

rapidshare /files/38449314/pass_solution.zip

now, extract all and copy tftp.exe and update.bin to C:\Documents and Settings\ windows sesion user \

click on START and then in RUN, type CMD and click OK.

type in command line this:

tftp -i ip PUT upgrade.bin

where ip is the acces point ip... usually is 192.168.1.1 for bridge mode and 192.168.1.2 for ap mode...

thats all, now just join to the web configuration interface and leave blank the user and password and click in login button... good luck!!!

REFERENCE:

tftp.exe:

winagents /downloads/tftp.exe

Thanks to every body...
BUT i could solve the problem...
when i connect the device with RS-232 Cable...it is true that nothing is apears in the screen of HyperTerminal..
BUT i Enter the command to it..
AND finaly i see that the password was reset.

anyway Thanks every body Very Much that Help me to solve this Problem...
