I have an ABit AB9 PRO desktop dual booting XP Pro SP2 and Vista Ultimate and fitted with the AirPace WiFi PCI-E card. I also have a Toshiba Laptop running XP SP2 with a 2Wire PCMCIA card. Both machines are running Symantec Client Security.

The Toshiba picks up my neighbour's Netgear Wireless router (Who is also running Symantec Client Security) and connects to his network and browses the Internet without problem. However, I cannot get a connection between the Toshiba laptop and my desktop with the Airpace card. I've tried running the Airpace in Access Point mode in XP, Vista and XP 'Safe Mode with networking'. In all cases the Toshiba sees the network, asks for and accepts the key but then just reports 'Aquiring Network Address' which it never achieves. The signal strength on the network is reported as Very Good or Excellent The 2Wire PCMCIA card diagnostic reports 'Check IP for default IP vs DHCP assigned IP' FAILED a test which it passes when connected to my neighbour's network. I can ping both computers from each other.

Obviously I've got some setting wrong on my XP and Vista Desktop installations but which one? Any help would be much appreciated.
