Hi I'm New but was wondering if anyone would like to help me out.
About for a month or so i was able to use the wireless signal of my D-LINK Airplus Xtreme G wireless router but one night i was on the Internet browsing threw my emails and typing on instant messenger the usual and then the next morning my Wireless Internet no longer worked.

Before i would get full bars and full reception no matter where i was in my house and now even when i put my laptop right next to my wireless router i still only get 3 bars, would anyone know what would cause this, or help point me on how i would go about fixing this?

I asked a friend awhile ago and took his advice of unplugging and plugging the power cord back in, and fiddling with the Athena but that didn't seem to do anything.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

On the Laptop in question could you see any other local wireless networks prior to your problem? Can you still see them now? Take it somewhere you know has a network. No need to conect, just to check your machines ok.

Laptop aerial/screen wires/ribons pass through one of the lid hinges, and may have broken with use? I had a screen ribon go on an old IBM T21 last year.

Have you accsess to another Laptop to test your D-Link? Take it to a mates house with a known working WiFi Laptop/PC, plug it in - see if they can see it?
