I'm seeking help! My computer is located on the first floor, and I use a
Linskys ADSL Wireless-G Home Gateway to link to the Internet via a
dedicated telephone line. On the ground floor I have a Siemens S675 IP
telephone with two extensions elsewhere in the house, which are linked to a
second fixed telephone line. I want to make calls internationally using a
VOIP provider without switching on my computer. My theory is that I should
be able to connect the telephone to a router, which in turn should be able
to communicate wirelessly via the gateway to enable VOIP calls to be made.
Can anyone out there advise me what to do? For example would a Linskys
WRT54gl router and a WUSB54GC adapter do the trick?
