I use the Neuf service in france. They have their own (ghastly) router and access point.

So I use a wired/wiress network/Internet service from their router.

I want to use the Belkin F5D7230-4 as a repeat access point only. To achieve this I have ...

Run a Network cable directly from their box to my F5D7230-4, into the Modem port.
Changed the F5D7230-4 IP address to fit within my range
Run a network cable to a desktop from the F5D7230-4 as a wired connection.

Used the Belkin utility to activate Enable Access Point
Used the same SSID for the F5D7230-4 as the Neuf box
Set up the WPA key

Using my desktop I can ping both the Neuf and Belkin routers
Using one of my laptops I can do the same

BUT The Internet light on my Belkin Router is not illuminated and I cannot access the Internet from either machine.

The manual that ships with the router describes Access point as a feature and has a small section on it, which I have read and followed in my setup.

Has anybody got any ideas please.
