Just thought I'd throw this in, a lot of confusion as to why many people can't connect to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.1 and other default IPs. Different routers have different IPs set by their manufacturers. 192.168.1.1 is Linksys I am told and other routers default IP address, Orange Live-Box for example also has that address. While others may have differing IPs, There seems to be a wide consensus that 192.168.2.1 is the default IP address for any router which is not true, and that's why many have problems connecting to 192.168.2.1 when it should be 192.168.1.1 or something else.

When configuring your router, use the software that comes with it, which usually has a sort of domain replacing the IP, for example http://configuration.adsl/ for Orange live-box which is actually http://192.168.1.1
