i have been trying to login to my dwl-2100ap
access point admin web page and i have been
unable to thus far- i eventually reset the device
back to factory defaults with the reset button on
the back of the device, but i still can't get
access to it- if i try to type in
»192.168.0.50 (the default address) i get nothing,
just an error 400 bad request page on my
browser- i can't even ping the ap unless i am
directly connected to it with an ethernet cable.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

Do the inital set up through your eth lead.
Set your PC to a static ip in the same subnet
as your AP, ie 192.168.0.10.
Try again. __________________________________ Mick |

Felsider (Mick), I did not get the chance to
welcome you here on behalf of the team, so
welcome (long over due). Also, good luck for the
"Wi-Fi Forums Top 10 most active users" here:
wi-fitechnology.com/competitions+main.html, you've passed the
50 posts / replies mark, so if you keep to
the rules, surely January should not be a bad
month, just make sure you update your land mail
address on your profile. We appreciate your effort
and that of others of course.
Keep it up Mick!

Hi guys.
I too have exactly the same problem: Here's the
story...
I bought the thing, loaded the AP manager, changed
my IP address to the AP's default plus a
couple, Perfect, no problems at all.
Using the ethernet, I activated the AP manager, it
saw it straight away, no problem.
I then upgraded the firmware as it was on
version 1 and the new version was 2.04eu.
Again, no problem at all.
Still using the AP manager I then changed the IP
address to 192.168.1.50 (as my network had that
subnet) . the AP disappeared. I wasn't too
perturbed as I then had to change my own IP
back.
However, once I was back in the same subnet,
scans for the AP were unsuccessful. I uninstalled
the AP manager and installed the updated version
1.13.
Again the AP manager cannot see the AP. When
I try to access it via IE8, I get error HTTP
400 the web page cannot be found
Yet when I go to any other computer on the
network and put in the same address, I get the
DWL2100AP home page straight away.
So I've managed to set up the AP2100, but I
had to use one of the guest's computer to do
it (I own a guest house).
What on earth is going on with this computer?
The AP2100 works brilliantly, but the software does
not and it's somehow buggerred up Explorer.
I've tried taking the firewall off, and even tried
a winsock repair kit, all to no avail.
Any suggestions? |

Since you are able to access from other computers
but not with one of the computer.
so, the problem is with this computer.
you can try
1)in safe mode with networking and try accessing
the access point
2)you can try with a different browser. |
