Hello,

I am at a college in which they have free wireless access in the library. The people who have rooms near the library can access the internet fine. I am a little farther away and cannot access the signal. IS there anything I can do in my room to give me a better chance of getting access. I have a LinkSYS wireless B router at home. Would that help in any way, or am I out of luck?

I'm up for any simple (cheap) solutions.

Thanks all.

All depends on the distance, and what obsticals are between you and the library?

Do you know anyone who can get a signal, and would be willing to host a repeater to extend the service? Carefull with that one, they might not be best pleased (the college).

From experience you can often improve a weak signal - but rarly conjur something from nothing icon_frown .
