I am trying to stay updated about what is happening with WiFi technology and have found a few blogs. But I don't feel like I am finding what I am looking for.

Is there any leading person that you like, that is kind of a influencer in the field that I should read?

Or is there any particular blog that stands out in this area?

We'll be launching the blogs section in few days, so hopefully that will attract few competent writers in the field. Wi-FiTechnology.com is one of the leading online services and publications in the field of wi-fi technology, the upcoming blogs section will certainly enhance that even further. wifinetnews.com is another good site run by a competent analysts, Glenn Fleishman. Wi-FiPlanet.com is also a good site, it all depends on what you are looking for, overall, the Wi-Fi Alliance (wi-fi.org) are the definitive authority on the subject as they do own the Wi-Fi copyright and provide industry updates on standards, so no pun intended, they set the standards for Wi-Fi Technology. Manufacturers such as Linksys, Belkin, D-Link, Netgear and others are always a good source for the latest hardware and software to go with it besides being the largest producers of wi-fi equipment for public consumption.
