Hi,

I have a linux box acting as access point with 2-3 wireless devices plugged in to be connected to internet. but the internet itself is provided by UMTS router to which my lnuc access point box connects to(or this is how i want my setup to be).

Now my linux box is an embedded board and doesnt have an ethernet port( to connect to router via LAN cable). I hope I dont need one also!

Now my question is, since it is an access point, i assume it would wirelessly connect to the umts router with a card for internet and hence the devices connected to the access point would seamlessly connect to internet.Is this true? I am yet to get umts router still.

By the way, will the router override the access point and all my wireless devices connect to the umts router directly and not to the linux box? how can avoid this?

Essentially what am looking at is :

internet-->umts router----> access point--->wireless clients

Please help
