I'm trying to setup a couple of small wireless
LAN in my college. Currentyl we have 1 in the
main IT suite running 5 pc's which is all
working fine. This is using Netgear WG602 access
point and WG311 PCI cards.
I's the other setup that is causing the problem's.
it is using the same hardware, the access point
is on the ground floor with the PC 2 floors
above. The signal is very irratic some days will
work others it wont. Any ideas on this first???
But now i'm being told that the headmaster wants
to have access to the college LAN in his house
around 300 meters away from the main college
buildings. I'm thinking of buying a netgear ANT2409
antenna and mounting that on the roof of the
main bulidings. Would this also help with the other
problem of no signal?
Any help would be appreciated as i'm at a loss
with wireless...
