I would need advice to start a small wireless
neighbourhood ISP in
Beirut,Lebanon ,Middle-east
I'm implementing a Long Range Wireless LAN to 100
users that are
in my geographical area (300-400 meters), my budget
don't exceed 6000$
The problem is that i can't use 802.11b because
of the interferences
Which technology is better to use ?
if it's 802.11a, which brand is the most cost
effective?
where could i find in the U.S a reliable
manufacturer/or wireless
distributor/or value added reseller that export
boosted wireless equipment to expand the 802.11a
signal(amplified
AP and antenna),knowing that in
lebanon there is no FCC..?
Finally ,I want to install an AP on the top
roof of each building
and make a non wireless connection between 5 to
10 users PC and
the AP ; will the AP be sufficient to connect
the wires or an
additional Hub is needed? what sort of cable and
network card is
needed ?
