Hi
We have set up public/open wireless network. The internet is shared via a Linksys router. there is only one pc conected (OS W98) on normal basics on the network and has not setp up any sharings. Is there any security risk while the pc does not share anything on the network?

It is possible to use your internet connection freely for your neighbours. Still its an open mode any number of users can be connected to your wireless.

So please change your wireless to secure mode like WPA,WPA-PSK etc.
