Will possibly be starting service with this provider. And all I know about them is what I read on their website. Anyone out there have any experinece with them as an actual customer?

I am a little concerned they have an antenna on top of the local towns water tower and I'm approx. 2.5 miles away as the crow flies out in the sticks . I have general line of sight on the tower, I can see the airplane signal light at night, but can't see the tower itself.

I'm a little concerned about reception issues, especially once all the trees leaf out. Tree's and foliage are notorious eaters of RF energy.

So if anyone out there has used DTN Speednet, as a WIFI ISP let me know!

Zach -
You can get CPE equipment that should be able to pull that signal thru.
there is great stuff available - I have a client about a mile away and he is recieving signal thru a bunch of trees .... No line of sight ..in the rain >>> 100% strength
. I have pictures but make them prove it.....
Merry Christmas

Hi Zach,

You should or the WISP should do a link budget calculation. It's rough but you can get an approximate idea if you'll get a good link or not.

Best......RFengr
