Using wireless gateway router with cable modem, tried to add the wgps606 with the Lexmark p6250 all in one printer.

The wgps606 says that the p6250 is supported and that is why I had bought it, that and the 4 port switch that can go wireless as well.

At first I had a hard time setting it up, after many tries and reading info and having the software work right as well as detecting the printer, I had thought that I had solved it and would have it working. I was wrong the printer only prints once and after the page is finished printing the “printing” status on the printer stays and pretty much the printer is frozen/locked up.

The only way to get it back to normal is hard power cycle. I have played with all the settings the bi-directional on/off the driver/processor settings etc. neither the printer not the print server give any errors, nor the software install. The printer works perfectly fine connected the USB on a computer. The wgps606 sees the printer and the wireless and Ethernet all working, I tried looking for firmware upgrades seems to be none and using latest drivers as well.

(systems tried on winXP sp2, both systems showed the same symptom)

I have exactly the same problems.

Prnter: lexmark X4550
System: Win XP pro
ADSL router: Netgear DG834G

Installs fine (no error messages), prints fine when connected via USB.
Wireless printing wont print more than a small part of any document if at all then printing 'does not complete' and the printing status remains on the GUI of the printer properties.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

This does not work on a Mac Leopard at all. Plugging the printer directly into the computer will work. Going through the wgps606 will not work.
