Semiconductor Insights is offering a customer on-site tutorial on Bluetooth
technology the first week of October. This tutorial is specifically
designed to compare traditional design, such as the Cambridge Silicon Radio
BlueCore3, and new innovations, from the Texas Instruments BRF6150. This
comparison shows how these innovations can be taken to the next step
towards digital radio design. Participants will gain insight into the
design of key wireless IC building blocks (CMOS, LNAs, up/down [censored]
s, power amplifiers, VCOs, etc.), front end design for wireless systems, RF
extensions for CMOS processes, and manufacturing cost implications of
different design choices. Attendees will receive a coput of the RF IC
Architecture Overview report (a $15K value) on the Cambridge Silicon Radio
BlueCore3 highlighting the mahor functional blocks and percentage of die
area occupied by each.
