I have a belkin wireless adapter for my old computer, but the USB is not recognising it. It is coming up as unknown device. I looked at it in device manager and it says, device is either not present or not working properly (code 10)
I know the adapter is ok as i installed it on my other pc and it was ok.

I phoned the helpline and they said it seems like an IRQ conflict on my pc. Any ideas if this is the problem what to do, or anything else i could try.
Updating this thread, i tried using the wireless adapter in a borrowed laptop, running windows ME, and this found the usb adapter and worked fine..... until now! It is now doing the same as the other pc, i started the thread with. It is saying device is either not present or not working properly (code 10) There is a yellow exclamation mark against it. Tried uninstall and reinstall but no difference. Looked on belkin site and downloaded driver but it is the same one as on the install disc, so i don't believe it's a driver issue. HELP
Cheers
