Hi all was wondering if someone can advise, we are about to deploy an old but very reliable access point on our network. The access point is the discontinued 3com 8000 range.

The reason we have decided to keep this model is basically down to the amount of concurrent sessions it will allow, the only problem we face is down to the fabric of the building its about to be installed into. The building and its concrete reinforced frames acts like a faraday cage and just kills off any single over the length of the building, so we are forced to add additional access points into the network. My real question is, if we go down the route and buy new 3com access points can we operate a roaming environment and keep the 8000 access point into play.

Cheers

Chris
