I'm working on a project at the moment that that requires a rather extensive wireless network to function properly. Basicly, I am trying to set up a network with a range of about 2-5 miles, that will support up to 200 users with about 2mbs at the least. I've done some research into wimax, but the recievers for such a network are around $500 each, and $100,000 for recievers alone is a little beyond our budget. I've also looked into mesh networking, but it seems like it wouldn't be able to support the speeds we require. Am I missing something? Any suggestions would be much appreciated
