I currently use the internet through a wireless router for my home.
I was wondering if there is a way to see who is using my router outside my home? is that possible? I mean, can i tell from my comouter if my nieghbor trys to use my internet router being we are in range of each other?

also, will have too many people using your network slow down internet surfing?

Hi

Yes other people can use your wireless router if you have no security enable or/and if you broadcast your SSID, a quick fix, you can disable SSID broadcast, your laptop should still see the network but so can others who have connected to it prior to you changing the settings, the best bet is to set up security, you can view who is connected, look at DHCP section of your router, this will show you sessions and the mac address of any equipment using the router, so if the mac address does not correspond to any of your laptops PC's etc.. then people are using it.

Without knowing which type of router you have I can not tell you where to look.
