how can i implement ad hoc network using 802.11 protocol (wi-fi)
in other word, can any body give me an example in xml or java or any programming language to implement a connection between set of computer using the above protocol :(

Why do you need programming language you can do this in xp with wifi adaptors, but be aware that in ad-hoc mode it will default to 11mb, some adaptors will let you force is up, but on auto speed it keeps dropping to 11mb, this is because ah-hoc spec only has to meet 11mb, so if you can avoid using ad-hoc do.

i know how it can be done in xp , but i am a master student and i want to know how it can be done in programming point of view ?

oooh i see............. then you probably need a Masters Programing forum as most people here cant get wifi working in XP.

See Connecting in Ad-hoc mode is simple ,,you have options in firm ware you can keep No access point is required in Network ....we are giving this solution for clients
who are crying to buy access point ...for connecting 2 to 5 syctems

This is from Practical world .....yes real not research
