i have just got a wi fi laptop, but having trouble connecting it to my wireless network which works fine with other desktop pcs.
can anyone give my any ideas as to what i need to do.
sorry for being very thick !

Hello,
I assume when searching for wireless network on your laptop you see your network and not able to connect to it.
Please make sure you type in the right password while connecting,
note :- passwords are case sensitive.
Also try using windows default software to make wireless connection.
check your wireless adapter and router setting to see they are compatible.
Compare the setting on the desktop PC and new laptop.
if you still have problems connecting,send more information about the network,router model number,wireless adapter model number.settings used etc...

i started by going to control panel and network and internet connections, then also tried setting up a wireless network.
am i doing this the wrong way, how should i search for the network
