i'm moving into a new place and trying to setup a wireless network similar to one i had at my old house but there has been some unexpected hardware changes. i used to use a linksys wrt54g v1.1 which could easily have its firmware changed but the friends i lent it to fried it and responsibly replaced it with a newer v5 which has less ram, making it nearly impossible to flash firmware.

so i hooked my linksys router to my modem as the main router and was going to use my belkin router's AP mode to use it as a wireless access point instead of a router but there is some additional steps i cant figure out in order to bridge the belkin and linksys wirelessly. i called belkin but they quickly shot me down because the linksys router was not a belkin.

does anyone know how i could use the linksys wrt54g v5 and the belkin f5d7230-4 ver.4002 to use one as a main router and the other as a wireless access point that would work with it?

thanks!!!
