Hi there, i have just bought a new router (phillips 11g true turbo base unit). I am very new to wireless internet and am pretty much self taught with anything to do with computers... Anyways i have established a connection between my wifi notebook and router (my laptop uses a ralink rt2500 wireless lan card, not sure if thats relevant). It states that my status is excellent. However i still cannot connect to the internet. I wouldn't normally have a clue why except when i tried to sign into msn messenger it allows you to troubleshoot why you cannot connect. When i do this it says its because my default gateway appears offline?? When i am connected to my router via the ethernet cable i can login to my router and it appears that everything is enabled and and all addresses (for example, WAN IP, IP address, primary and secondary dns) seem present.. I really would like to know what i am doing wrong and hoping that it is something really simple. As i said i am very new to this so any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Charlie.
