I have a wirless router which is connected to a cable modem. i have a pc
connected to the router via ethernet, i have a laptop connected to the
wireless network via a wirless card. the pc is running on windows xp pro,
the laptop on xp home and now im trying to get a windows 98 pc to access
the router and use the internet. Installed wireless card on the pc and it
finds network etc. cant access the internet though , some kind of ip
problem it doesnt assign it an ip address correctly when its left to
authomatically obtain one and when i give it an ip, subnet mask and gateway
to match my pc and laptop it still doesnt work. i got the ip,subnet and
gateway settings from running ipconfig on my other machines. Any ideas?
ok i found out whats wrong, it was my wep encription, i have turned it off
and it works, is there any security measures i can use as i dont want to
leave my network unprotected.
